Service Description

To help manage environmental public health risks, Environmental Health Officers provide advice, guidance, education, public health inspections, and recommendations to each First Nation regarding the following:

  • Drinking Water Safety 
  • Food Safety
  • Healthy Housing
  • Wastewater Management
  • Solid Waste Disposal 
  • Facilities Inspection
  • ​Communicable Disease Control 
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Environmental Contaminants, Research, and Risk Assessment
  • Workplace Health and Safety
  • ​Transportation of Dangerous Goods

Eligibility

Members of the Black Lake Denesuline First Nation, Cumberland House Cree Nation, Fond Du Lac Denesuline First Nation, Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation, James Smith Cree Nation, Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Montreal Lake Cree Nation, Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, Red Earth Cree Nation, Shoal Lake Cree Nation, Sturgeon Lake First Nation, Wahpeton Dakota Nation.
